The diagnosis of pulmonary embolism is based on several distinct steps. Faced with the suspicion embolism, we are led to use a clinical probability score guide rest examinations. Revised Geneva and Wells two best validated scores. They identify low-, medium-, high-risk patients in simple way. third step, if not high, assay D-dimers. A negative result excludes predictive value close 100%. last they positive, chest angiography-computed tomography (CT) scan that can rule out or confirm search for severity signs.
